Ladies’ retreat in Anchorage to explore how Church arose

The Ladies of St. Andrew Church in Eagle River have extended an invitation to all women of the Anchorage Archdiocese to join the group’s annual retreat on Jan. 9 at the parish. Attendees are encouraged to bring a notepad.

The retreat will be led by Benedictine priest Father Joseph McGilloway, who currently serves as pastor at Holy Cross Church in Anchorage. He will speak on the theme, “From Christ to Constantine: How We Became a Church.”

The half-day retreat begins with a continental breakfast at 10 a.m. The retreat runs 10:30 a.m. to noon, followed by a light lunch.
