There are many children who are in need of support and families who need connection. We at Catholic Social Services (CSS) are working to support them.

Many years ago, a friendly dispute arose in a government office where I worked. On one side of the debate were the tidy people whose desks were spotless except for the day’s pertinent documents.
Winter is near, and we look around and ask ourselves, “Are we prepared?” In our community, do those without safe, warm shelter this winter have a place to go?

September is Hunger Action Month, and every year at Catholic Social Services that gives us an opportunity to talk about how food insecurity greatly impacts the lives of people in Anchorage.
So would you die for your faith? We may never know that answer but it is being asked many times over in the Near and Middle East and in Africa and India.
