Recently there have been many stories in the news about homelessness and public safety. The actions and stories have run the gamut from extreme reactions to more reasonable, but urgent appeals.
Around the world, people will celebrate World Refugee Day on June 23. This is a celebration and a show of support and solidarity with our brothers and sisters who have been displaced from their homes by war and persecution.
We are committed to continuing our work with veterans and celebrate them and our armed services, throughout the year.
A year ago, Brother Francis Shelter began offering new services to address the physical health and wellbeing of our guests.

Men and women experiencing homelessness at Brother Francis Shelter in Anchorage are met with services to meet their unique needs and help them reach stability. Each person who walks through our doors leads a different life with different needs in finding self-sufficiency.
