August 6 is the date set for the 9th Annual Archbishop’s Golf Tournament for the support of seminarians at Moose Run Golf Course at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. It is an archdiocesan tradition for many reasons, but particularly for the opportunity to support seminarians whlie enjoying an easy day of golf with clergy and fellow parishioners. Even a rainy day on the course cannot douse attendees’ spirits.
Last year, seminarian Daniel Kemper greeted teams of parishioners representing different parishes and organizations in our archdiocese, sharing his smile with them.

A fun energetic atmosphere outshone the rain on the course and in the hiltop chalet, where homemade food and drink were served by the staff and warmed up everyone.
Those attending the tournament will will support the seminarian program and the seminarians as they continue their studies. To educate the seminarians requires personal and financial sacrifice.
By making this sacrifice today, we can prepare priests for tomorrow who will carry out the mission of the Gospel as servants, administering the sacraments and being present for their people.
Please join us this August 6th to support our seminarians by treating yourself to a nice and fun day of golf.
