Holy Rosary Academy in Anchorage graduated six seniors this year. The k-12th grade school held its baccalaureate Mass at Holy Family Cathedral on May 19. Dominican priests from the downtown cathedral presided at the Mass and the choir consisted of the school’s faculty.
Seniors participated in the graduation ceremony on May 20 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Co-Cathedral where Anchorage Archbishop Roger Schwietz celebrated Mass.
This year, Holy Rosary graduates have been accepted to Benedictine College, University of Dallas, Carroll College, Wheaton College, Corbin College, Westmont College, University of Dayton and Colorado School of Mines. Major interests of the students include journalism, elementary and secondary education, engineering, nursing and political science. Two of the six graduates are commended National Merit Scholars.
