Theology & Brew to explore “consecrated life”

On Thursday, March 5, Theology and Brew in Anchorage will host a talk by Oblate of Mary Immaculate priest Father David Munoz, who will speak on the topic of consecrated life. The talk will be given in honor of Pope Francis’ call to observe a “Year for Consecrated Life.” His presentation is titled “Wake up the World: The challenge of consecrated life today.”

The presentation, which is free and open to the public, begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Sea Galley restaurant on C Street near the E. Tudor Road intersection.

Father Munoz is from Buffalo, New York. Born in 1982 in Puerto Rico and raised in Hollywood, Florida, he professed vows to religious life in 2005. In 2010 he was ordained to the priesthood. He currently serves in Buffalo as parochial vicar of three parishes.

His presentation in Anchorage is part of the Theology & Brew winter speaker series that explores topics on faith and culture. The program is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Anchorage.
